Revelations of Divine Love is a feature-length film written and directed by Caroline Golum. Revelations centers around Julian of Norwich, a 14th-century mystic who survived the Black Plague, witnessed a nationwide uprising, and became the first woman to write a book in English.

Over the course of 5 weeks in 2023, we fed a crew that fluctuated between 12 and 25 members. We traveled to Ridgewood, Queens to provide daily supplies as well as breakfast, hot lunch, and afternoon snacks. Meals needed to be quickly served, grab n’ go, and affordable to last us the length of the shooting process. Contrary to most feature shoots, we did not skimp on flavor and healthy options.

The Craft Service Menu

We tried to vary the offerings day to day, because ordering from the same place over and over again can get boring. Our breakfasts were packed with protein and flavor. Lunches were hearty and filling with lots of options to mix and match. A scheduled midday snack time staved off the munchies.

Roasted veggies were a must to provide some fiber, protein, and hydration. Squash is mostly water! It's beneficial for long days when you're on your feet.

Simple cucumber salad with tomatoes was refreshing with chopped mint, rice wine vinegar, and Aleppo pepper.

Tortilla chips may sound like nothing special, but we had an overstock of burrito tortillas from another event. We fried chips fresh for snack time and topped them with a bit of sazon from Burlap & Barrel.

While we couldn't grill on set, the next best thing was our trusty panini press. It seared our chicken souvlaki skewers with green bell pepper perfectly.

We had a few crew members who were gluten intolerant, so we made our own gluten-free tortillas and rice dishes to accommodate.

On our last morning, we baked saba banana bread with walnuts and dark chocolate chips. A final treat from us to the crew for a job well done.
